Role OverviewJoin Wendel's Energy Practice Area as an Energy Engineer in our Hauppauge, NY Office. Collaborate with a team to support various project types, providing energy calculation support, field verification, and data collection. Work on a variety of projects with a diverse group of clients.
What You Will Do
Collect data, perform utility bill disaggregation, conduct field visits, and develop energy assessment reports. Work with design teams, support construction and sales, and prioritize multiple projects. Develop measurement & verification plans and produce annual reports.

Ideal candidate has 0-3 years of experience in technical areas, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, and industry-related certifications. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal staff and clients required.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in technical areas (i.e., lighting, HVAC, solar, other renewables)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field
- Certified Energy Manager in Training (CEM IT) or other industry-related certifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Building modeling experience
- Hands-on HVAC and commissioning/retro-commissioning experience
- Ability to complete multiple tasks on multiple projects
- QA/QC of assigned tasks and projects
- Ability to support construction activities during implementation
- Experience working on energy audits and/or energy-related construction projects
