Role OverviewH2M architects + engineers seeks a Safety Manager for our Melville, NY office to support ongoing electric utility projects. The Safety Manager will plan, direct, and implement project-specific safety programs to promote a safe, healthy, and incident-free work environment.
What You Will Do
Conduct safety meetings, interact with contractors, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct on-site safety assessments, and train employees in work site safety practices.

Requirements
- Occupational safety/health degree or equivalent combination of training and related experience

- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
- Experience with overhead and underground electrical system installation
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train and educate others
- Good computer skills (MS Office software, Outlook)
