Role OverviewThe Engagement Specialist is responsible for obtaining signed supporting depositions, assisting victims in understanding the criminal justice system, and referring for advocacy and counseling services. The role involves contact with victims and witnesses, outreach, and translation of complaints and supporting depositions.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include contacting victims and witnesses, obtaining supporting depositions, referring for advocacy and counseling services, and providing information regarding crime victims' rights. The role also involves translating complaints and supporting depositions, organizing and filing supporting depositions in court, and liaising with victims and Assistant District Attorneys.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have high fluency in Spanish and English, both oral and written, and be able to work one late night shift weekly. Experience working with crime victims, familiarity with the criminal justice system, and training in retail, customer-service, and advocacy are preferred.
