Job Description
LiquidPiston is seeking an Engine Dynamometer Technician to support engine research and development by conducting dynamometer testing, ECU calibration, and test data acquisition. The role involves troubleshooting, instrument calibration, and data collection, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of engine performance data. The position works closely with Engineers and Engine Build Technicians.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in engine testing or R&D environments
  • Familiarity with programmable ECUs (e.g., MoTeC) and engine calibration tools
  • Proficiency in data acquisition systems (e.g., National Instruments, LabView)
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
