Role OverviewJoin Northrop Grumman's team of engineers to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives. As a Materials and Process Engineer, you will analyze, research, and develop materials and their related application processes for use in engineering design.
What You Will Do
Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material science to investigate material issues and provide solutions. Work in a team environment with other engineering organizations to perform detailed technical reviews of drawings, specifications, and manufacturing plans.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a strong background in STEM fields, with experience in aerospace structural design. You will have opportunities to work on military aircraft and prepare/present reports. A Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science is preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Aerospace structural design
- Ability to obtain and maintain in-scope DOD Secret clearance
- Familiarity with composite pre-pregs, honeycombs, and adhesive materials
- Experience with fabrication, assembly, and repair processes for aircraft composite structures
