Role OverviewThe Engineer Bridge Inspection is responsible for completing scheduled, periodic, and emergency railroad bridge inspections and providing feedback based on observed field conditions.
What You Will Do
Complete bridge inspections in accordance with FRA Bridge Safety standards and CPKC Bridge Safety Management Plan Policy, audit bridge maintenance/renewal work for compliance with CPKC Structures Red Book, and make recommendations to territory Manager Bridge Maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in railroad bridge inspection, maintenance, or construction, and be able to inspect bridges at heights and wear fall protection.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Bachelors' degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural, geotechnical or construction management (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) licensing (preferred)
- Experience in railroad bridge inspection, maintenance or construction (preferred)
- Ability to inspect bridges at heights and wear fall protection
- US passport (or able to acquire one) to travel cross border to Canada and Mexico
- Valid driver's license (with no restrictions)
