Role OverviewThe NYC Department of Design and Construction is seeking Engineers-in-Charge to join the Construction Management Unit's various boroughs. The successful candidates will report to a Deputy Director and will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a team of Resident Engineers, Office Engineers, Inspectors, and Junior Engineers (Construction).
What You Will Do
The Engineers-In-Charge will conduct constructability review meetings, ensure project information is compiled accurately, generate project data to aid in the resolution of field problems, and provide information to the Design, Engineering Services' Utility Coordination team, and Program Management Units during various stages of construction.

Applicants must be ACI Concrete Field -Testing and OSHA 10-hour Certified or take the first available DDC-offered training session. Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. Requirements
- ACI Concrete Field -Testing and OSHA 10-hour Certified
- Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization
- Five years of full-time satisfactory experience managing and/or inspecting one or more construction projects
- Valid license as a professional engineer, registered architect, or registered landscape architect, issued by a board of examining engineers, architects, or landscape architects duly established and qualified pursuant to the laws of any state or territory of the United States
