Job Description
The NYC Department of Design and Construction is seeking an Engineer-in-Charge to join our Construction's Southeast Queens Initiative – Section 2 team. The successful candidate will report to a Deputy Director and will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a team of Resident Engineers, Office Engineers, Inspectors, and Junior Engineers.

Requirements

  • One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration
  • Additional experience as described in "1" above in a supervisory capacity or as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project
