Role OverviewJoin our expanding team at Smithers' 898-acre proving ground for tire and vehicle dynamics. As an Engineer (Tire & Vehicle Dynamics), you will set up tests on tires, vehicles, and components, and manage projects and designated clients. You will work on a wide range of test surfaces, from off-road test courses to customizable vehicle dynamics areas (VDAs) and noise assessment lanes.
What You Will Do
Develop, improve, and oversee vehicle and tire traction testing accuracy, process, and usefulness. Troubleshoot, correct, and improve systems as needed. Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with Mechanical Engineering preferred. Experience working on proving grounds, tire or automotive testing is also preferred. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and past experience with Matlab and/or Python are also desired.
