Role OverviewThe Paris District is seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded individual to join our team in the Paris District Headquarters. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to essential transportation projects that improve safety and mobility across the region. An Engineering Assistant I, II or III work alongside experienced Engineers and support our District in delivering solutions to make the roadway safer for all Texans.
What You Will Do
Performs engineering work, including job rotation, training, and continuing education in design, construction, construction inspection, maintenance, surveying, environmental, and/or transportation operations-related activities. Assists during emergencies and inclement weather, assists in survey activities, collects engineering data at project sites, and performs engineering-related calculations and drafting/design work.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS
- Valid driver's license
- TX Engineer In Training Certificate (mandatory for Engineering Assistant II and III)
- Passing Professional Engineer (PE) exam prior to obtaining requisite experience for gaining PE licensure (optional for Engineering Assistant III)
