Role OverviewJoin the TxDOT Lubbock District Design Office team as an Engineering Assistant I, II, or III. Participate in the Engineering Assistant Career Development Program (EACDP) and contribute to projects improving safety, mobility, and community connections. Work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to various transportation projects.
What You Will Do
Perform engineering work, including job rotation, training, and continuing education. Assist in survey activities, collect engineering data, and participate in career development. Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) and designs. Use automated roadway/structural/hydraulic design programs and computer-assisted design/engineering systems.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS
- Valid driver's license
- TX Engineer In Training Certificate (mandatory for Engineering Assistant II and III)
- Passing Professional Engineer (PE) exam prior to obtaining requisite experience for gaining PE licensure (optional for Engineering Assistant III)
