Engineering Consultant-temporary

Requirements

• General knowledge of working in a manufacturing / production facility
• Understanding of high level of safety for personnel and the equipment being worked around
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Solid grasp of building compliance and safety regulations
• Excellent analytical skills
• Decision-making skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements (OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 / etc)
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and information
• Able to use latest technology for communication and coordination
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Must be able to work effectively with various discipline construction contracts (civil/structural/architectural, mechanical/process, electrical, building fire alarm / fire protection, and others related to construction)
• Must be able to coordinate and collaborate with local code officials diplomatically and effectively
• Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook email, Outlook Calendar), and miscellaneous software. MS Project a plus.
• Manage change orders and impacts to project (Safety, Risk, and Cost/quality/schedule).
• Ability to recognize and gauge when to delegate authority and elevate issues appropriately
• A basic working knowledge of a computer - Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
