Role Overview

As an Engineering Field Technician, you'll support the design and implementation of outside plant (OSP) facilities by collecting and documenting critical site information, including measurements and sketches. You will collaborate with design engineers to ensure project specifications are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do

Locate, sketch and document detailed information of OSP facilities, measure distances, take measurements and field notes, and produce sketches for work orders & required permitting. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure project efficiency.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be successful in this role, you'll need at least two years of related experience and/or training, knowledge of aerial or underground utilities, OSP facilities, construction techniques, and conduit records. You'll also need to be able to work alone in remote locations, operate a vehicle, walk, use a keyboard and mouse, and climb stairs occasionally.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
  • At least two years related experience and/or training
