Job Description
The Engineering Manager II position is responsible for managing a staff of engineers, technicians, and other personnel to provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical assistance to state agencies, consultants, and the public. The position requires a Professional Engineer registration and five years of supervisory experience in a professional engineering related field.

Requirements

  • Selects, develops and motivates subordinate staff to ensure quality services and on-time performance
  • Plans, organizes and manages the work of subordinate staff to ensure agency requirements are met
  • Directs engineering activities, develops and conducts a specific work program, and manages budgets
  • Represents the department in contacts with the general public and public officials, and resolves complaints
  • Oversees consulting engineer's contracts and provides technical oversight
