Role OverviewThe Engineering Technician 4 provides technical support to engineers on various technical tasks, gathering, maintaining, and manipulating technical data. They produce engineering documentation, reports, and drawings, and perform detailed mathematical calculations. The ideal candidate should be able to interpret historical data, develop ground-up projections, and team with other internal organizations.
What You Will Do
Provides technical support to engineers, gathers and maintains technical data, produces engineering documentation, performs mathematical calculations, and conducts tests to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills, be able to interpret historical data, develop ground-up projections, and team with other internal organizations. Above-average skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, are preferred.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- 6 years of relevant experience
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
