Role OverviewThe Engineering Technician installs machinery and equipment in an industrial setting, performs machining operations, and oversees the work of outside contractors in various trades. This position is staffed in Coachella, at Armtec’s world-class, sole-source production facility for felted fiber nitrocellulose combustible cartridge cases for medium and large caliber military ammunition; and pyrophoric payloads for training grenades.
What You Will Do
Prototype and implement changes to equipment and facilities to improve performance and reliability. Machine, fabricate, and fasten materials using a diverse range of tools and equipment including welding equipment, lathes, mills, surface grinders, drill presses, CNC machines, and various hand tools.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of proven work experience in an industrial setting, proficiency in fabrication and welding, and familiarity with spreadsheet and word processor software.
