Role Overview

Deliver engaging 8th-grade English Language Arts instruction aligned with curriculum and student learning needs. Create a proactive, structured, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth.

What You Will Do

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Preferred)
  • Non-certified candidates must have at least 12 college credits in the relevant subject area and provide transcripts demonstrating subject-matter expertise.
  • 1–2 years of experience teaching ELA to middle or high school students; experience in urban teaching environments is preferred
