Role OverviewThe English Learner Program Teacher is responsible for instruction, specialized services, and support to students for developing their ability to effectively perform courses of study in the English language. The teacher is responsible for instructional planning, administering tests, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records of student achievements.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the English Learner Program Teacher include providing lesson plans, preparing for assigned students, administering tests and language assessments, and evaluating student progress. The teacher will also develop and deliver lesson plans, establish positive learning expectations, and maintain accurate attendance records.

Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements
- All coursework required to obtain the appropriate teaching license(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Appropriate Illinois State Board of Education issued educator license with a bilingual endorsement in the grade level being taught
