Requirements

  • Plan and deliver clear, rigorous ELA lessons using Understanding by Design (UbD)
  • Create meaningful learning experiences that connect to students’ identities and lived experiences
  • Use varied instructional strategies to support all learners (collaboration, modeling, literacy in content, differentiation)
  • Monitor student learning through ongoing assessments and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Provide timely, specific feedback to strengthen reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Maintain accurate digital course materials and assignments
  • Build a structured, respectful classroom culture aligned with school’s expectations
  • Communicate proactively with families regarding student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school-wide goals and professional learning
