Role OverviewJoin our Power Business Group in our Monroeville, PA office as an Entry Level Transmission Line Drafter. You will support electric utility and power transmission projects by preparing detailed engineering drawings and construction documents for overhead transmission line projects. You will work directly with experienced engineers and designers.
What You Will Do
As an Entry Level Transmission Line Drafter, you will provide drafting support to transmission line engineers and senior drafters, prepare and develop construction drawing packages, develop plan and profile drawings, and prepare permitting exhibits for highway, railroad, and waterway crossings.

We are looking for an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, CADD Technology, or related field, 0-3 years of Drafting experience, and demonstrated interest in power, electrical, or transmission line design through applied academic coursework, internships, or related experiences.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, CADD Technology, or related field
- 0-3 years of Drafting experience
- Demonstrated interest in power, electrical, or transmission line design through applied academic coursework, internships, or related experiences
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of MicroStation
- Experience with PLS-CADD software
- Experience with plan and profiles and loading drawings
- Knowledge of standard transmission line structures, assemblies, and construction practices
