Role OverviewAs an Environmental Area Operations Manager at HDR, you will partner with senior leadership to drive the growth of Environmental Conservation and Compliance and Environmental Restoration businesses for Federal clients. You will oversee a team of 75 global professional staff and be responsible for planning, navigating, and meeting company goals and objectives.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to expand environmental compliance, permitting, and planning services and environmental remediation and geophysics services. You will oversee delivery of complex environmental compliance, planning, and marine sciences programs, and lead business development efforts.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
- One or more relevant certifications such as CHMM, REM, CESCO, REP, etc.
- Professional Engineering (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license, OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance within 6 months
- A minimum of 10 years experience in development and management of diverse teams
- Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skills
