Role OverviewThe Environmental Compliance Specialist Senior will review, inspect, and investigate complaints related to commercial outdoor music venues, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The role involves interpreting and applying relevant policies, codes, and regulations, issuing directives or enforcement actions when non-compliance is identified, and providing witness testimony in municipal court.
What You Will Do
The key responsibilities of this role include coordinating investigations and surveys, developing sampling protocols and standard operating procedures, responding to and directing spills and complaint actions, and providing technical information and assistance to internal and external customers.

Requirements
- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Science, Life Science, Natural Science, or related field, plus six (6) years of relevant experience
- Certified Code Enforcement Officer TDLR
- Knowledge of Austin's night life and entertainment districts
- Knowledge of sound meter operation and decibel readings
- Knowledge of Code Compliance and in person testifying in municipal court
