Role Overview

Maryland Environmental Service (MES) has an opening for an Environmental Field Technician to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at our headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. This role involves collecting environmental samples and conducting on-site field tasks across statewide project sites.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include collecting environmental samples (including gas, water, wastewater, groundwater, stormwater, and soil) and conducting on-site field tasks. Key duties include operating company vehicles, maintaining sampling equipment, performing electronic data entry, and completing rigorous regulatory recordkeeping.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate
  • One year of experience in environmental monitoring or a construction related field
  • Valid driver's license with less than 5 points
