Job Description
Environmental Health and Safety Specialist position at BASF ECMS in Huntsville, AL. Manage site's Environmental, Health and Safety programs and compliance to standards and norms in manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Science or Engineering is strongly preferred or 5+ years Industrial EHS experience.
  • Certified Safety Professional is preferred, but not required.
  • Direct experience in chemical manufacturing plants preferred.
  • Experience with hazard recognition, job hazard analysis and Process Hazards Analysis is a plus.
  • Five or more years’ experience in implementing EHS programs in a manufacturing plant preferred.
  • Seasoned computer skills (ex. Spreadsheets, word processing, database management) essential. Use of the Enablon system a plus.
  • Customer Focus, Collaborate for Achievement, Entrepreneurial Drive, Drive Sustainable Solutions and Effective Communication skills are essential.
