Job Description
The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for managing and reducing the risk of accidents that can injure employees and damage property. They must champion, drive and lead communication on all safety programs and policies. They will oversee and coordinate safety training for all site employees.

Requirements

  • Support and drive safety in all areas of the site.
  • Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards.
  • Inspect site to identify existing or potential accident and health hazards.
  • Ensure safety policies are being followed by all site personnel.
  • Provide technical safety support and information to managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Identify company safety training needs; develop and coordinate safety training programs.
  • Act as the Emergency Coordinator in overseeing the site's Emergency Action Plan.
  • Maintain and organize safety documents in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Actively lead their site's Safety Committee.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and meet the requirements of the company's fleet policy.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
