Job Description
Role Overview

The EH&S Coordinator supports Mativ's Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions Function, directing and leading the site in all areas relating to the safety of employees while ensuring state and federal regulations are met. The role is responsible for generating and carrying out risk assessments, chairing the Health and Safety committee, and coordinating safety training. The EH&S Coordinator also serves as Emergency Coordinator and/or Alternate, coordinating emergency responses and maintaining all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

The EH&S Coordinator will ensure a prioritized EH&S plan is in place, manage workers' compensation cases, and maintain OSHA required forms and programs. They will also lead coordination of inspections by regulatory agencies, present findings and corrections to the organization, and promote the highest standard of housekeeping throughout the operation.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as an EHS leader in an industrial environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to operate calmly during a crisis. They will also have experience working in a manufacturing environment, dealing with conflict and resolution, and using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Understanding and experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment
  • Accreditation is related to state and federal safety and environment regulations
  • Training in OSHA, Emergency response, etc.
