Role OverviewThe Environmental Manager reports to the Environmental Health, Safety (EHS), and Security Manager. This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of programs supporting local, state and regulatory requirements for Environmental Compliance (EPA, MDE). Provides direct supervision to the Environmental Engineer and Environmental Project Manager in support of Operations and Operational Readiness, including Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Environmental Compliance.

Provides leadership for the expansion and optimization of environmental permits and programs, managing complex projects such as landfill operations, air permit modifications, waste management strategies, and regulatory compliance solutions that enable site operations and future growth.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline.
- 7 or more years of manufacturing, chemical industry, or related experience
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and electronic safety management or action-tracking systems.
