Role Overview

HDR is seeking an Environmental Project Manager with environmental planning and permitting experience to join our New York/New Jersey Environmental Science and Planning practice. The ideal candidate must be a seller/doer who is well-rounded, team-oriented and capable of coordinating multiple activities related to transportation, airports, maritime ports, renewable energy, resiliency and sustainable design, federally funded projects, and environmental permitting while leading multi-disciplinary planning and design teams.

What You Will Do

Work as a Deputy Manager to the Environmental Sciences & Planning Lead for NY/NJ assisting with leading and overseeing project delivery, leading communication with clients and assisting with proposals and business development. Provide technical expertise at project level and assist with growing HDR's environmental program through advancing growth initiatives. Take responsibility for project management and staff management, as well as marketing, business development and client management. Plan and direct environmental tasks/projects for our core Transportation Business Group market sectors including NEPA/SEQRA/CEQR reviews, and overseeing various environmental studies.

The expected compensation range for this position in New York, NY is $143,413 - $204,875.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
