Role OverviewThe Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining an aseptic environment and preventing nosocomial infection by cleaning walls, lights, fixtures, and furniture in all assigned areas of the Hospital. They also clean, wax, extract, and maintain floors, carpeting, and stairwells, and assist with heavy cleaning throughout the Hospital.
What You Will Do
The Environmental Services Aide will coordinate with nursing staff and supervisors to clean occupied rooms first, check empty rooms, attend to emergency cleaning for spills, and use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to wash and clean patient rooms daily.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a 'can do' attitude, be able to read and follow instructions, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Equivalent to two (2) years of high school
- Up to three (3) months to become proficient in all aspects of the position
- Ability to read and follow instructions
