Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental Specialist 2 to join our team at the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. As an Environmental Specialist 2, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state environmental laws, reviewing facility installation applications, drafting NPDES permits, and inspecting sites to verify permit compliance.

Requirements

  • Review installation applications and engineering plans for wastewater treatment systems.
  • Prepare NPDES permits for municipal, industrial, and semi-public wastewater treatment plants and inspect plants for permit compliance.
  • Respond to citizen inquiries and complaints of non-compliance activities.
  • Provide engineering technical assistance to local governments, consultants, and the public on environmental regulations.
