Job Description
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is seeking an Environmental Specialist 2 to join their Division of Surface Water at their Central Office in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Ohio's waterways are protected by monitoring municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities.

Requirements

  • Review installation applications and engineering plans for wastewater treatment systems.
  • Prepare NPDES permits for municipal, industrial, and semi-public wastewater treatment plants and inspect plants for permit compliance.
  • Responds to citizen inquiries and complaints of non-compliance activities.
  • Provide engineering technical assistance to local governments, consultants, and the public on environmental regulations.
