Role Overview

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is seeking an Environmental Specialist 3 to join their Division of Materials and Waste Management. The successful candidate will act as a lead worker, providing technical support, training, and guidance to staff and the regulated community on solid waste management plans, reports, fees, and recycling programs.

What You Will Do

The Environmental Specialist 3 will take the lead on program development projects, coordinate federal grant funding programs, facilitate internal group meetings, and provide guidance and direction on solid waste management planning.

Requirements

  • 7 years of relevant programmatic experience
  • completion of undergraduate core coursework in an environmentally-related discipline
  • ability to provide own transportation for field work
  • sanitarian-in-training certificate (for new employees in the solid waste program)
