Job Description
The Environmental Specialist I - Environmental Compliance position is responsible for monitoring the environment, identifying environmental issues, and recommending solutions to enhance the lives of those who live within the Choctaw Nation. The role involves leading a team, conducting inspections, and providing expert opinions on environmental law.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related field, or 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of education
  • Knowledge of environmental law, policies, and practices
  • Environmental Certifications required (UST, LBP, asbestos, mold, SDWA)
  • Strong organizational and research abilities
  • Ability to work solo as a collaborative team member along with the ability to organize, prioritize, and document
