Role OverviewThe Environmental Specialist I will be responsible for inspecting Limited Use Public Supply (LUPS) wells, well abandonments, and well groutings. They will also investigate complaints related to unsanitary conditions and notify citizens of potential health and legal implications. The incumbent will work in a team to accomplish established goals and will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Do
The incumbent will take water samples, use a chlorine water test kit, and document inspections on state-approved forms. They will also be responsible for inspecting migrant labor camps, mobile home/RV parks, group care programs, swimming pool programs, tattoo programs, and biomedical waste programs. The incumbent will investigate complaints and initiate legal proceedings as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
