Job Description
This Environmental Specialist II position performs intermediate professional work under the direction of the Environmental Administrator for the Division of Waste Management’s Solid Waste Section located in Tallahassee, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess discipline-specific knowledge, leadership, and technical skills to promote the sustainability, implementation, and efficiency of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations related to grease waste and solid waste management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of state and federal waste regulations.
  • Demonstrated skill using spreadsheets for data analysis.
  • Skill in using Microsoft applications, Adobe suites, and database management tools.
  • Ability in effective oral and written communication.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to provide guidance to district staff with primary program area on moderately to complex projects or policies.
