Role OverviewThe Environmental Staff Scientist will collaborate with planners, engineers, and environmental scientists on a diverse portfolio of environmental investigation, remediation, and infrastructure projects throughout New England. This is an entry-level opportunity for May 2027 graduates to gain practical experience delivering environmental consulting services while building technical skills.
What You Will Do
Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, collect soil and groundwater samples, analyze field data, prepare GIS maps, and assist with technical reports and regulatory submittals.

Requirements
- BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or a related field
- 0 to 2 years' experience conducting environmental investigation, remediation, MCP compliance
- Familiarity with GPS field instruments and processes
- Ability to record and reduce field notes
- Excellent time management, and ability to manage multiple assignments
- Proficient in the use of current technology (i.e., tablets, smart phones, laptops, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong technical aptitude and an eagerness to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
