Role OverviewThe Environmental Technician is responsible for safe and efficient operation of sampling equipment, vehicles, loaders, and forklifts. The role involves completing routine sampling, inspections, and opacity readings with minimal supervision, and communicating with other departments to assist with environmental compliance.
What You Will Do
Inspect waste storage areas, maintenance areas, water basins, and camp facilities, and monitor wildlife and habitat on the mine site for compliance. Collect surface and groundwater samples, conduct and record monthly opacity readings, and complete various internal and external reports.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in environmental profession
- Valid driver's license
