Role OverviewThe Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking an experienced Epic Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst to support the design, development, implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Epic HIM applications. This position serves as a key technical resource for HIM operations, partnering with HIM professionals, clinical and operational leaders, and other IT teams to ensure health information workflows are efficient, secure, compliant, and accurately reflected within the electronic health record.
What You Will Do
The Epic HIM Analyst will be responsible for application build and support across Release of Information (ROI), Deficiency Tracking, Identity, Coding & Abstracting, Chart Tracking, Document Imaging, and related HIM functionality. The position requires strong knowledge of healthcare information management, workflow analysis, data integrity, privacy and security requirements, and Epic application functionality, particularly within behavioral health environments.

Requirements
- 12 months combined work experience in multiple areas of assigned responsibility (e.g., infrastructure, database administration, software development, business process analysis)
- completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems
- equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment
