Role Overview

The Epic Interface & Conversion Analyst I assists in the development, implementation, and support of Epic interfaces and data conversion processes. This role provides foundational support for interoperability between Epic and third-party applications by working on HL7, FHIR, and other integration solutions. The analyst supports data migration and conversion efforts while ensuring data integrity. This is a hybrid role with approximately 3 days per month required onsite (as needed for the team).

What You Will Do

Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Epic interfaces using Epic Bridges, HL7, FHIR, APIs, and web services. Assist with configuration and troubleshooting interface engines to ensure smooth data exchange between Epic and third-party applications. Monitor and optimize interface performance, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field
  • Epic Certification
  • One plus years’ experience in IT
  • Basic knowledge of HL7, FHIR, APIs, and web services
  • Familiarity with SQL, ETL processes, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability concepts and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data integration issues
