Role OverviewThe Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing vending and merchandising equipment throughout a designated service area. This role requires strong mechanical and technical aptitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service.
What You Will Do
Install new vending and merchandising equipment, train and educate clients, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, perform minor repairs, remove outdated equipment, test equipment, perform routine preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have previous experience repairing automated vending, merchandising equipment, or small appliances, and be able to lift, move, and position heavy equipment when necessary.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
- Previous experience repairing automated vending, merchandising equipment, or small appliances is preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to diagnose problems, troubleshoot equipment, and perform appropriate repairs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record; CDL is not required
- Ability to lift, move, and position heavy equipment when necessary
