Role OverviewTxDOT's Tyler District is seeking an Equipment Operator in our Henderson Maintenance Office. The role involves operating heavy equipment such as tractor-trailer haul trucks, motor graders, and bulldozers for complex transportation maintenance and roadway repairs. The successful candidate will work independently on assignments, but refer unusual issues to a supervisor. The position requires a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License and a valid driver's license.
What You Will Do
Operate heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance inspections, routine servicing, and minor repairs on equipment. May serve as a work crew project lead, train other employees on equipment operation and safety procedures, and perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
