Role Overview

The Equipment Operator - Medium will operate one or several types of power construction equipment to move objects or material according to project specifications. The role involves excavating, moving, and/or grading material, as well as performing light maintenance duties and documenting maintenance logs. The operator will also perform daily inspections of equipment and document results on daily logs.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include operating gasoline, diesel, pneumatic, or electric powered equipment, assembling and operating compressors and pumps, and performing daily inspections of equipment. The operator will also coordinate machine actions with other activities, load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, and check fuel supplies at sites to ensure adequate availability.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the operating and rigging crafts, as well as experience with operating and maintaining equipment. The operator should be able to participate in all safety-related processes and programs, and engage with the work team to ensure zero injuries.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of working experience as an equipment operator or a combination of experience and education
  • Strong working knowledge of the operating and rigging crafts
  • Commercial driver's license required when equipment will be operated on public roads
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements
