Role OverviewThe ER Tech/HUC role combines technical and clinical tasks with clerical assistance and patient coordination. The role functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and requires a multi-skilled individual.
What You Will Do
Perform technical and clinical tasks, provide clerical assistance, and coordinate patient care. Identify abnormal findings and report to the Registered Nurse.
Why It Might Be a Fit
No prior job-related work experience is required, but medical terminology and direct patient care experience are preferred.
Requirements
- High School completion / GED
- Current HealthCare Provider or Professional Rescuer BLS CPR certification
- No prior job-related work experience
- Medical terminology
- Previous STNA or CNA training or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training
- Direct patient care experience within the last five years
- Currently enrolled in nursing school and completion of at least one clinical rotation
- EMT Basic
