Role OverviewThe ED Tech assists nursing and medical staff by performing selected procedures and emergent duties in the care of Emergency Department patients, also performing duties as Unit Secretary. This role has both a clinical and clerical aspect and operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
What You Will Do
Perform desk duties in a clerical role with high levels of accuracy, provide care appropriate to the emergency population and maintain the environment of care, and assist the nursing staff in triage.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent with recent experience in a health care setting providing patient care. BCLS certification is required within the first 90 days, and previous Emergency Room work experience is strongly preferred.
