Role Overview

The Escrow Officer will be responsible for the timely completion of real estate closings (escrow) as directed by the Branch Manager. This includes performing all tasks and functions of the Escrow Receptionist, Escrow Technician, and Assistant Escrow Officer. The Escrow Officer will also be responsible for training employees, soliciting escrow and title business, and conducting closings with customers.

What You Will Do

The Escrow Officer will perform routine residential resale, refinance, or builder escrow transactions, prepare escrow instructions and amendments, deposit escrow funds, prepare disbursements, and balance all escrow-related accounts. They will also assist Senior Escrow Officers as necessary and perform other duties as required or requested by their supervisor.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or four to six years of related experience and/or training. They will also have knowledge of proper telephone etiquette, basic accounting/bookkeeping procedures, and real estate/escrow/title terminology. The candidate will be able to organize and prioritize tasks, read and understand verbal and written instructions, and recognize and solve problems independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Four to six years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette
  • Basic accounting/bookkeeping procedures
  • Real estate/escrow/title terminology
  • Century Title automation system including keyboard proficiency
