Job Description
The Weitz Company is seeking an Estimator II - Industrial Piping to support the estimating team by preparing complete portions of an estimate for construction projects. The role involves quantity surveying, pricing, bid solicitation, working within the estimating system, and compiling cost history. The ideal candidate should have previous industrial piping/construction estimating experience and strong analytical skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of estimating responsibility or significant field experience
  • Degree in a construction-related field is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with operating systems and basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with onscreen takeoffs and the ability to learn other specific software
