Event Services Supervisor (Banquet Captain)

The Event Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and assisting in all Event Service (Banquet) activities, supervising room set-ups, service, and clean-up of all event functions, and maintaining event equipment. The role also involves supporting colleagues during busy periods and collaborating to ensure seamless guest service.

The Event Services Supervisor will oversee event setup, ensure all details meet Hyatt standards and client requirements, coordinate with the kitchen and stewarding departments, and direct Event Services staff throughout the event.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of minimum Event Services / Banquet Captain experience, be able to work well under pressure, and have a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• 2 years minimum Event Services / Banquet Captain experience
• Responsible for overseeing event setup, and ensuring all details are within Hyatt standards and client requirements
• Coordinate with the kitchen and stewarding departments with food and beverage event needs
• Ensure food and beverage presentation meet the Hyatt Hotels standards
• Direct Event Services staff throughout the event, and ensuring an excellent customer service experience
• Anticipate any issues and/or resolving complaints from guests in a timely manner
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the duration of the event or function, ensuring satisfaction
• Ensure health and safety compliances at all times
• Able to work well under pressure
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
