Job Description
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner is seeking an Evidence & Property Control Specialist I to perform various duties related to the receipt, dispensing, and accountability of narcotics, firearms, cash, and other property held in the Office of Chief Medical Examiner. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing security in areas where evidence and property is held and stored, monitoring alarm systems, and verifying the authorization of persons entering or leaving the premises.

Requirements

  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
  • Two years of full-time, satisfactory experience in the areas of security, law enforcement and/or active military duty
  • Successful completion of 60 college semester credits at an accredited college or university with at least a 2.0 cumulative index grade point average
  • Motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York
