Role OverviewThe Ohio Industrial Commission (OIC) is seeking an experienced Commission Level Administrative professional who demonstrates a high level of organization and attention to detail while providing administrative support & research for the Commissioner. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, maintain a high level of confidentiality, be skilled in time management, and demonstrate a high level of customer service. Under supervision, acts on behalf of the Commissioner. Works directly with staff of the Commissioners, Executive Director, Legal Counsel & Director of Adjudication.
What You Will Do
Reviews information & makes decisions at request of Commissioner. Reviews Commissioner orders for accuracy, makes necessary changes, & routes orders to Commissioner for review and signature. Prepares agenda & compiles associated materials for weekly staff meetings. Maintains calendar for Commissioner & Commissioner staff. Maintains tickler system for issues to be addressed and meetings to be set.

Requirements
- Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position which involved limited research & public contact.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position which involved limited research & public contact.
- Or 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
