Role Overview

The Executive Assistant to CDO provides administrative support and organizational coordination to the CDO and gift officers to meet the fundraising goals and mission of the Straz center. This role involves contact with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, board members, staff, and volunteers. The position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and provide excellent service with a high level of professionalism and discernment.

What You Will Do

Supports the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and Development leadership with calendar management, meeting coordination, board and committee preparations, correspondence, reports, and administrative support. Coordinates logistics and materials for Board of Trustees and committee meetings, maintains committee records and charters, supports governance activities, and ensures documentation is accurate, approved, and properly archived.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a college degree, five years of administrative experience, and prior experience working in a supporting role that required high professionalism, independence, and working with a database. Development experience or work with a non-profit organization is preferred.

Requirements

  • Proficient in MS 365
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrated success maintaining accurate records and attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic commitment to the arts (a plus)
